Financial Fine Print…
Individual students
Individuals are paid through the Bursar (U.S. citizens) or via payroll (NRAs). Any Bursar balance may be deducted from your funding. For financial‑aid questions, contact the Bursar; for tax questions, consult an accountant.
Student organizations
Orgs are paid through ShopUW+. If your group doesn’t have an account, request one early—setup can take 2+ weeks. An EIN (a business ID number) is required; organizations without one should contact SOLI for help.
Creative Arts Awards
The Division of the Arts presents annual project- and merit-based awards to UW–Madison faculty and staff as well as graduate and undergraduate students. Recipients are honored at the annual Arts Awards celebration in the spring.
Arts Business Competition
The University of Wisconsin–Madison Arts Business Competition (ABC) invites current students from across campus to develop and submit a proposal for an arts event, exhibition, performance series, or other artistic project.
