Bach’s Birthday Bash: Annual MEMF Fundraiser

We invite you to an us for an evening of food, music, and fun celebrating Johann Sebastian Bach’s birthday and benefiting the 2018 Madison Early Music Festival (MEMF)! This year, MEMF will present A Cabinet of Curiosities: Journey to Lübeck from July 7-14. Join us at the Essen Haus on Bach’s birthday, Wednesday, March 21 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm to help us raise the funds needed to bring this year’s amazing concert artists to MEMF.

Come feast upon a menu of German cheeses, assorted sausages, fresh pretzels, and German beers while enjoying a program by Sonata à Quattro. Co-artistic directors Cheryl Bensman-Rowe, mezzo-soprano, and Paul Rowe, baritone; Chelsie Propst, soprano; Christine Hauptly Annin and Anna Rasmussen, violins; Marika Fischer Hoyt, viola; Charlie Rasmussen, cello; and Mark Brampton Smith; harpsichord, will perform works of Johann Sebastian Bach in honor of his 333rd birthday.

The fundraiser costs $35 and all net proceeds will benefit the Madison Early Music Festival. During the evening, you’ll also be able to designate a contribution to sponsor specific concerts or artists during the 2018 Festival. Register online by clicking here.
