Screens for Teens Public Screening: Women Outward Bound

April 26, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

As part of the Screens for Teens outreach program and in celebration of Women’s History Month, a special public screening of Women Outward Bound will take place at Madison College, room D1630 B/C. This event is free and open to the public. Click here to register.

Fifty years ago, girls were not allowed to participate in the rigorous United States outward bound wilderness school until 24 women broke that barrier. Find out how one month of surviving in the woods changed them – and history – forever. The documentary film will be followed by a post-screening Skype Q&A session with award-winning filmmaker Maxine W. Davis.

Presented by Madison College’s Office of Equity, Inclusion and Community Engagement in partnership with the Wisconsin Film Festival.
