The University of Wisconsin-Madison launches Creative Campus Tour

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of the Arts presents its inaugural Creative Campus Tour on Sept. 1, 2018. The tour is an introduction to the fine arts programs on the UW-Madison campus including Bascom Hill, Chazen Museum of Art, Mosse Humanities Building, Lathrop Hall, Nancy Nicholas Hall, The Studio in Sellery Residence Hall and Vilas Hall.

This project marks the first cross-campus collaborative effort to highlight the creative spaces on campus. Tour attendees will be exposed to the arts through a variety of activities and behind-the-scenes access, including spaces where students create and perform. The energetic, interactive and non-traditional tour will be led by UW-Madison student tour guides.

The Creative Campus Tour is open to everyone – prospective, admitted and incoming students as well as anyone interested in learning more about arts offerings on campus. The free tour lasts two hours and is recommended for ages 12 and older. Prospective students and first-year students may find the tour particularly enlightening if they are interested in majoring in one of the 18 arts degrees offered at UW-Madison.

People are encouraged to dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. The route includes stairs and hills. For accommodation requests, parking information and registration, visit
